Dr. Mary Welle received a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois in 1986 and a DVM from the UIUC College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She has been a clinical veterinarian and owner of All Creatures Animal Hospital for over 25 years. Dr. Mary has been active in local and state organized Veterinary Medicine, serving as the former president of the Eastern Illinois Veterinary Medical Association and continuing as a representative on the board of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Associatio. Dr. Welle's professional interests include dentistry, preventative and internal medicine, focusing on dogs and cats. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Mary has been involved in community theater (in front and behind the curtain) for over forty years, including recently producing student productions with the High School of St. Thomas More and Champaign-Urbana Theater Company. When she is not participating in or appreciating the arts, she is the mother of three amazing daughters (Laura, Theresa, and Julia) and proud partner of Phil Strang, a local visual artist.
Dr. Ritter received a BS in Biology from the Loyola University (Chicago) in 1994, and a DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She has been practicing with us since 2000, and has since continued to develop her skills in ultrasound techniques. Her professional interests are exotic medicine (small mammal, reptile, avian), ultrasound, surgery, and general medicine.
