Great staff is essential for great service!

Client Service Representatives or receptionists are your first and last link with our practice. They are the ones you are likely to get on the phone whenever you call. Chances are, whatever your question is, she’s probably heard it before. Erin, Nicole and Genny are our current receptionists.

bulletCertified Veterinary Technicians are highly skilled and trained in animal health care. They collect lab samples and perform lab tests. They administer medicine, monitor anesthesia and help to educate clients on proper health care. We simply couldn’t function without them! Our certified technicians are Karen, Nicole, and Toya.

bulletVeterinary Assistants are jacks of all trades. They help hold pets for doctors and technicians. They keep the animal housing clean and sanitary. They give baths, do treatments, socialize the boarders, and whatever else needs to be done. Most of our assistants are here because they are pursuing a career in animal health care. We have veterinary students, veterinary technology students, and pre-veterinary students.

bulletAnimal Caretakers are indispensable. In addition to keeping the entire hospital clean, caretakers are in charge of the basic care of all the pets in the hospital. They are responsible for walking, feeding, and socializing the smallest canary to the greatest Dane.

bulletDr. Ken’s association with the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine provides us with a continuous stream of senior veterinary students that are here to learn exotic pet medicine. After some initial training, these students will collect medical histories, assist the doctors in the exam room, and perform hospital treatments. These students are within a year of being a licensed veterinarian. They provide your pet with an extra educated opinion!
