 | Dr. Ken Welle studied Animal Science at the University of Illinois and
graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. In 1991, Dr. Welle
joined the veterinary college as an assistant professor, teaching avian, exotic,
and wildlife medicine. In 1992, he opened All Creatures Animal Hospital. Dr. Ken
became the first veterinarian practicing in Illinois to become board certified
in avian medicine. He is a member (and currently treasurer) of the Association
of Avian
Veterinarians,
the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, the Association of Reptile and
Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians.
Dr. Welle has presented at local and national veterinary conferences and has
achieved his goal of creating an exceptional avian and exotic animal hospital
for central Illinois. When not at work, you may run into Dr. Ken at some of
the local races.

 | Dr. Mary Welle received a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois in
1986 and a DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. While mothering
three daughters, Dr. Mary has worked at several practices, full time, part time,
and as a relief veterinarian. She joined All Creatures Animal Hospital full time
in 1995.
Dr.
Mary’s professional interests include dentistry, behavior, and general
medicine, focusing on dogs and cats. Dr. Mary Welle earned a
post-doctoral degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine emphasizing
business management, and is past president of Eastern Illinois Veterinary
Medical Association. Dr. Mary is very active with the community and her
church. She is a girl scout leader, helps with the church
newsletter. She also helps extensively with the music and theater
departments of Holy Cross and St. Thomas More schools. |

 | Dr. Sandra Murrell
Dr. Murrell came
through our clinic first as a student. Following graduation from veterinary
school in 1998, Dr. Murrell served internships at both Midwest Bird and Exotic Hospital
in Chicago,
and at our hospital. Sandra is now our associate veterinarian.
Sandra and her husband Brett live with their daughter Emily, their son
Caleb, and two rabbits, Kayla and Tawny. After
spending two years with two of the best exotic animal hospitals in the state,
she is ready for action. |

Our Mission:
All Creatures Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing progressive medicine in
a caring environment for pets of all species. Through preventative medicine,
client education, professional development of our staff, and advanced medical
and surgical techniques, we hope to foster a strong and lasting bond with
clients and their pets.
